Todd Shepherd, MBA, CPA, CFP®

Todd serves as a Wealth Manager, working directly with clients
to develop and coordinate the financial, investment, tax &
estate aspects of their plan. Prior to joining Creative
Planning, Todd operated his own firm where he specialized in
providing financial planning and tax services. His philosophy
has always been to serve clients in a manner that he would want
to be served. Therefore, he joined Creative Planning to work
with clients using the holistic and comprehensive approach which
has made Creative Planning one of the fastest growing private
wealth management firms in the country.
Creative Planning has been providing private wealth management
services to high net worth clients since 1982, and currently
manages over $900,000,000 for clients in over 40 states.
Creative Planning's affiliates offer retirement plan services to
small businesses, group and individual benefits, tax
preparation, estate planning, and mortgage lending. In 2007,
2008 and 2009, Creative Planning was featured in Barron's
magazine as one of the 'Top 100 Independent Financial Advisors
in the Country'. In every ranking from 2005 to present, Creative
Planning was featured in Robb Report Worth magazine as one of
the Top 100 Wealth Management Firms in America. Every year, from
2004 through 2009, Creative Planning has been featured in
Bloomberg Wealth Manager magazine's 'Champions' list of Top
Financial Firms in the Country.
In 2009, Todd was selected as one of Ingram's "40 Under Forty"
honorees. The list recognizes the most accomplished business and
community leaders in the Kansas City region under 40 years of
age. In 2010 & 2011, Todd was recognized in KC Business magazine
as a Five Star Wealth Manager.
Todd graduated from the University of Kansas in 1991 with a
major in Accounting. He earned a Masters of Business
Administration degree from Rockhurst University in 2001. Todd is
a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the states of Missouri
and Kansas and has also earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
designation.
Todd also serves on the Executive Board of Directors for KC CAN,
an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the quality
of life of children in Kansas City. Todd served on the board of
directors of the Financial Planning Association of Greater
Kansas City.
Todd is married to Vicki and has three sons, Jake, Will and
Drew.
